If you live in an urban country then  you might have came across a card that you can use instead of money in big stores and gas stations. The card does need money to fill up but the need to carry a briefcase or big wallet for cash is the thing of the past. These cards contains all your banking information and your address! You guess is right this card is called Credit Card or Debit Card that people nowadays use for shopping in stores and shopping online :D. Sorry for the late intro but had to do it :P. 01. Avoid Incentive Emails and Shopping Rebates from Unknown Sources!

You might have gotten Emails claiming to give you free money or even rewards by the well known websites if you submit or purchase something from the site or something similar. Many times you would get offers like buy 1 get 1 free or even magazine subscription emails! Note that these all emails will require you to put your Credit card information for purchase! Without the credit card they won't give your discount or accept your submission. Many Emails will offer you shopping rebate! But all Emails are from people that wanna steal your credit card information and use it to steal your money.

The best thing to do when you receive these kind of emails is go to the site directly which is offering the discounts or offers and get the offer directly! Don't click on Emails as they may be phishing Emails and you might get malware in the process or worse your identity stolen!

Also check the header of the Email to see the sender address. If the address is ok then it might be okay but it is recommended to visit the sites directly and not to click links in Emails!

02. Avoid Using Cards In Every POS!

When you swipe card everywhere then you can probably get scammed because there was a scam in the past which involved stealing many credit cards and debit cards information with a simple swipe. Basically the person can charge you whenever he likes ones he has your personal information. Avoid swiping your card in every machine. Instead visit the ATM machine and get cash before going on shopping spree! Visit closest ATM and get cash and pay via cash! This way you can avoid getting scammed! You wouldn't believe how big store's employee ripped many people by stealing their Credit cards and debit cards information. Use your credit cards in the stores and markets that you can't live without!

03. Online Usage:-

Using your credit card or debit card that is linked to your bank account can be the most idiotic thing that you can do! Using your credit card or debit card that is linked to your financial piggy bank can mean giving out the key to your vault to a complete stranger!

I am not saying that you will get ripped 100% times but come on! do you have a guarantee that the person won't misuse your CVV number?  instead use a Visa Gift Card or prepaid debit card that is not linked to your bank account and financial piggy banks!
